Trade & Partners
Relationships that open doors.
A Beyond The Blue client does not arrive as a booking reference. They arrive as someone we have personally introduced to the people and places on their itinerary. The difference in experience is not always visible. It is always felt.
A Different Approach
Every inbound operator in this region will tell you they have strong supplier relationships. The difference is in what those relationships actually deliver when a client is on the ground.
Ours have been built over 25 years of consistent business, consistent standards, and consistent respect for the operators we work with. That means lodge owners who take our calls on a Sunday. Golf course managers who open their books for us when they are otherwise full. Guides who give our clients a different level of attention because they know who sent them. Chefs who open their kitchens. Winemakers who open their cellars.
It also means we are members of the Serandipians network, accredited South Pacific Specialists, and hold memberships with TIA, TECNZ, and ATEC. We carry full public liability and director’s insurance. These are not just credentials. They are the infrastructure of a business that has been operating at this level for a long time.

Built for trade
Beyond The Blue exists to make travel agents look exceptional. We work exclusively through trade partners and have done so since the beginning. We do not market directly to your clients. We do not compete with you. We handle the destination expertise, the supplier relationships, and the on-the-ground delivery. You own the client relationship.
We quote at nett or local currency, turn around briefs quickly, and stay available outside business hours for the calls that cannot wait. Standard terms are a 25% deposit, plus the full cost of any flights, with the balance due 60 days before travel. When your clients are in the field, you will hear from us if something needs your attention. Otherwise, we handle it.
If you are placing clients into New Zealand, Australia, or the Pacific for the first time, or looking for a partner who will raise the standard of what you are currently offering, we would like to hear from you.
Curated Through Experience
One of the most valuable things we offer a travel agent is the honest redirect. The famous experience that no longer justifies the hype. The lodge that photographs beautifully but disappoints in person. The route that looks logical on a map but adds hours for little real gain.
We have been to these places, sent clients to them, heard the feedback, and adjusted our recommendations accordingly. Some iconic names in New Zealand and Australian travel are not on our recommended list for exactly this reason. Some lesser-known properties and experiences are at the top of it. Your clients will not return disappointed by the obvious misses because we will have replaced them with something better before they left.
A note on transparency.
We do not recommend experiences we have not tested or place clients in properties we do not know firsthand. When something changes, we update our advice. When we are not sure, we say so.
Beyond What’s Expected
The measure of a good inbound operator is not what happens when everything goes to plan. It is what happens when it doesn’t. Our team reconfirms every booking by email and again by phone in the days before a client travels.
We pass on the relevant details, preferences, and small observations ahead to each property and guide along the way. By the third destination, the team already knows how a client likes their mornings.
When Cyclone Gabrielle closed a major New Zealand highway during a group trip, we rerouted the entire itinerary the same day, secured alternate accommodation, and ensured the journey continued without interruption.
When a client needed medical equipment hand-delivered, we flew to meet them. When another required a fully prepared in-room setup on New Year’s Eve with no notice, we arranged it.
None of this is extraordinary to us. It has been our standard since 2000.
