Itinerary

Pacific resort stay, Fiji at Kokomo + Bora Bora

Embracing a strong organic and seasonal approach, we prioritise taste over standardisation, contrasting with supermarket produce. This ensures our vegetables boast complex and bold flavours to elevate the Ahi dining experience.

Day 1

Arrival, Kokomo Private Island, Fiji

A seaplane or helicopter transfer from Nadi crosses the Great Astrolabe Reef, the world’s fourth largest, before landing on Kokomo’s own 140-acre island in the Kadavu group. The five hilltop residences run to three, four and five bedrooms, built specifically for multi-generational groups, with the rest of the island’s beachfront villas each holding their own private pool.

Day 3

Manta ray swim

Manta rays gather seasonally at the island’s southern end, and a half-day swim with the resort’s marine team is one of Kokomo’s signature outings, suited to confident swimmers across most ages.

Day 4

Snorkelling and turtle spotting, Great Astrolabe Reef

Glass-bottom boats, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards give a non-swimming option for spotting turtles and reef sharks from the surface, while snorkellers head into the reef itself for a closer look. Resident turtles are also a regular sight just off the beach in front of the villas.

Day 5

Coral restoration / marine biology programme

Kokomo’s in-house marine biologist runs a coral nursery and manta and turtle conservation projects that guests can join hands-on, a good fit for older grandchildren or anyone wanting more than a passive day on the water.

Day 6

Travel to Bora Bora, French Polynesia

A long day of flying (typically via Nadi, Auckland or Los Angeles, then Papeete), worth building in as a rest day either side.

Day 7

Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, Beachfront Villa Estate

The resort’s three-bedroom Beachfront Villa Estate sits on its own stretch of white sand, with a private pool, indoor-outdoor living and an outdoor kitchen, built for families and larger groups rather than a couple.

Day 10

4x4 Jeep Safari + cultural lookout points

A half-day 4×4 tour covers Bora Bora’s ancient marae (temple) sites and its WWII-era cannons, with stops at the island’s best lookout points and lunch served on a private motu.

Day 11

Lagoon cruise, sharks and rays + turtle centre

A full-day lagoon cruise mixes coral garden snorkelling with a shallow-water stop to interact with stingrays and small blacktip reef sharks, and a visit to a resort turtle sanctuary nearby (Le Méridien’s or the Westin’s Eco Center) rounds out the marine theme from the Fiji leg.

Day 9

Sunset motu cruise, Tahitian legends

A sunset cruise to a private motu for marshmallows around a fire and stories of the first Polynesian explorers, a gentler, story-led close for the trip rather than another activity day.

Day 13
